When Mrs. Potter Palmer (Bertha Honoré Palmer), the well-traveled and powerful Chicago socialite, first set eyes on Sarasota in 1910, she proclaimed, ‘Here is heaven at last. For instance, she soon owned 80,000 acres of what is now Sarasota County. Palmer operated a successful ranch and made her winter home at The Oaks on Historic Spanish Point.
Her husband Potter Palmer created the luxury hotel The Palmer House in Chicago. Besides, Bertha Palmer is credited with inventing the brownie. She instructed the pastry chef to create a portable version of chocolate cake. However, the original recipe has been lost to history. The current Palmer House Hotel offers the Palmer House Brownie, their most popular dessert.

20 to 25 cups of tea can be made from two ounces of loose leaf rooibos. We also suggest steeping our Rooibos multiple times for even more cups of great tea.
BREWING INSTRUCTIONS for Bertha Palmer Rooibos Tea
Prepared like tea, rooibos contains no tea leaves. All rooibos blends are caffeine-free. Use boiling water, and infusions can be steeped for up to 10 minutes depending on personal preferences. All teas are sold in 2oz packets from which 20-25 cups of tea can be brewed.
Store in a dry place.
