A delicious, tropical taste of paradise! Black tea with coconut and pineapple pieces. Refreshing and revitalizing.
Black Coconut Rainforest Canopy Black Tea is part of our Rainforest Collection of Teas created to celebrate the Ann Goldstein Children’s Rainforest Garden at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. A safe, natural place for young children and their families to develop a life-long appreciation for the living world through outdoor play, discovery, and learning.
The four elements of a Rainforest include; the Forest Floor, a Shrub Layer or Understory, the Canopy Layer and an Emergent Layer. Local Coffee + Tea has used these components as a guide in naming our Rainforest Collection of Teas.
Join us in celebrating the world’s rainforests and those dedicated to protecting these living treasures.
20 to 25 cups of tea can be made from 2 oz of loose leaf Black Coconut Tea. We also suggest steeping all our teas multiple times for even more cups of great tea.
Use boiling water and allow your Black Coconut “Rainforest Canopy” Black Tea to steep as little as 3 minutes or as much as 6 minutes. For each of the following steeps use boiling water and double the steep time. Black Coconut “Rainforest Canopy” Black Tea can be steeped at least 3 times and depending on the steep times, as many as 5 times. Also, consider blending the first steep with the following steeps to balance the tea. If you do not want to drink all the tea, store in fridge for wonderful iced tea.
Store in a dry place.
