Our Hibiscus Tea is sourced from the Nile River Valley.  This scarlet red infusion comes from the hibiscus plant’s sepals and is used as a cooling and refreshing drink since ancient times.

Related to the ornamental variety we know so well, hibiscus sabdariffa is native to Africa and symbolizes grace and beauty.

The plant is field-grown and sun-dried. The tea is rich in Vitamin A and C, contains Anthocyanin and beta-carotene antioxidants.  Excellent for replacing electrolytes and quenching thirst after vigorous exercise.  In conclusion, drink this tea to ease symptoms of cold, flu, and coughs.

Hibiscus is a key ingredient in many of our herbal teas.  If you are drinking red tea, chances are very high. Hibiscus can be brewed with ginger, clove, cinnamon, and nutmeg for a holiday drink. We advise not to use milk.

Brewing Instructions for Hibiscus Tea

Prepared like tea, though it contains no tea leaves and is caffeine-free.  Use boiling water and steep for up to 10 minutes, depending on personal preferences.  All teas are sold in 2oz packets from which 20-25 cups of tea can be brewed unless otherwise noted.
