FLAVOR, INGREDIENTS & BREWING

Mable Ringling’s Rose Garden is one of the loveliest spots on the Ringling estate and, when in bloom, the most fragrant.

The 27,225 sq. ft. garden was completed in 1913 and is patterned after a traditional Italian circular garden design. While none of the original rose bushes planted by Mable survived many of today’s 1,200 rose plants are of the same types planted by Mrs. Ringling. A rose dedicated to Mable Ringling is also featured in the garden.

The garden is accredited by All-American Rose Selections and was named the 2006 most outstanding All-American Rose Selections Public Rose Garden in the nation.

In honor of Mable’s love of roses, we offer Mable’s Rose Rooibos Tea. A blend of rose petals, sweet cherries and rooibos for a caffeine-free thirst quencher. Delicious hot or iced.

20 to 25 cups of tea can be made from 2 oz of loose leaf tea.

A heavenly caffeine-free blend of fruity rose-flavored rooibos, unlike many teas with rose I have tried, Mable’s Rose Rooibos is full of rose flavor and aroma without it being overwhelming. Whomever is crafting Local Teas is a master at flavor combining; I have had many and they are all superb and unique. This tea has a perfect balance of fruity, rose, and rooibos. I find plain liquid Stevia sweetens this tea better than honey or maple syrup since it allows the tea’s flavors to come through better. Being caffeine free, I can have it in the evening and not worry about it affecting my sleep, and rooibos is good for digestion and health as well.

I have been buying Local Teas since 2005 when I had some samples at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota, FL. It wowed my taste buds so much I have been buying them online ever since.
