A strong dark roast with low acidity. Brews musty and earthy, with a heavy body finishing with subtle undertones of dark chocolate. Made with organic beans though the farm is not certified organic, but working on it!
We picked this as our first featured coffee for the Java Dawg Coffee Club because these beans will get your attention. And because this is THE favorite coffee of our roaster, the Big Dawg himself Chris Keesecker. Coffee from Indonesia, specifically Sumatra is traditionally processed using a Wet-Hulling or Giling Basah method. This results in a coffee with a much higher moisture content. This higher moisture presents an opportunity to bring out a funky, earthy notes and a fuller-bodied result with inherent sweetness. Enjoy!
