Sweet Sin Rooibos Loose Leaf Tea is for sweet and rosy moments in your life. This lively Rooibos is blended with dried raspberries, vanilla pieces, natural flavoring and beautiful Rose petals. In addition, it tastes as good as it smells and is not exclusively for the romantically inclined.
Naturally caffeine-free. Rooibos is a direct translation from African meaning “red bush”. This natural herb grows at around 1500 to 2000 feet above sea level in the Cederberg Mountains of the Western Cape of South Africa.
Rooibos seeds are planted during February and March then tended for 18 months. The entire bush is harvested, cut and milled to a uniform length. Bruising is accomplished between rollers which triggers the oxidation process. This turns the tea from green to its characteristic reddish brown color and develops a natural sweet aroma.
Our Rooibos has a soothing effect on headaches, disturbed sleeping patterns and digestive or colic problems. Many of our daily recommended nutrients can be derived from hot or iced cups of Rooibos. Iron, Copper, Zinc, Magnesium, Fluoride, Manganese and Sodium, and in other words healthy skin, teeth, bones, blood and metabolic functions.
Does this all sound too good to be true? We don’t think so, and we drink a ton of Rooibos at Local Tea Company, and we are all very healthy specimens!
20 to 25 cups of tea can be made from 2 oz of loose leaf rooibos. We also suggest steeping our Rooibos multiple times for even more cups of great tea.
