Loose Leaf White Tea

We are thrilled with our line-up of  Loose Leaf White Tea.  White loose leaf teas are the least processed of any style of tea leaves from camellia sinensis.  You will notice a very ‘light’ delicate tea leaf, as white teas are plucked and withered and that is all.  Pure tea.

Which Loose Leaf White Tea are best?

Our most popular loose leaf white teas are our, Night White, or our line-up of flavored white teas;  Blue Mu Tan, Pear Mu Tan, Peach Mu Tan, Pom Mu Tan, and Mango Mu Tan.

Why is it good for you?  Another question that we get asked a lot.  Each tea has its own health benefits, but we say the healthiest tea is the one you WANT to drink.

How much is too much?  That is an easy one; drink more.  There is never too much tea!

Steep these teas multiple times as loose leaf teas have far more flavor than traditional tea bags due to the superior quality and freshness. Tea strength is a personal decision, so please experiment to determine your preferences.

Use water between 180 and 190 degrees F, or allow boiling water to stand for 2 minutes. Steep for as little as 1 minute, but not more than 4 minutes. For each of the following steeps, use water of the same temperature and double the steep time.

The best loose leaf teas from Local Tea Co. can be steeped at least 3 times and, depending on the steep times, as many as 5 times. Also, consider blending the first steep with the following steeps to balance the tea; if you do not want to drink all the tea, store it in the fridge for wonderful iced tea.
