Goji Green Tea

Our Goji Green Tea has blue cornflower blossom, pomegranate arils, and ‘superfruit’ goji berries for a subtle, tart sweetness.

Take a Sencha-style green tea; add “superfruit” Goji berries, a splash of blue cornflower blossom, and not only do you get a fabulous-looking tea but a powerhouse of nutrients as well.

This is truly a red diamond in the crown, the Chinese name for the goji berry. Grown on plantations along the floodplains of the Yellow River for more than 600 years, the goji berry has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for nearly 2,000 years.

One of the more interesting myths surrounding the berry is Li Qing Yuen, who claimed to consume red diamonds daily and lived to 252. (1678-1930).

Carefully picked or shaken from trees, goji berries are dried in the full sun, dehydrating over a period of 48 hours. Rich in nutrients, minerals, and amino acids, goji berries have very high Vitamin C levels, Vitamin E, and beta carotene.

The goji berry boosts your immune system, helps fight infection, and relieves insomnia and forgetfulness. Best of all, it tastes delicious.

Drink lots of this tea and expect to live a long and happy life.

20 to 25 cups of tea can be made from 2 oz of loose-leaf tea.

Brewing Instructions for Goji Green Tea

Steep Goji Green Tea multiple times as loose-leaf teas have far more flavor than traditional tea bags due to their superior quality and freshness. Tea strength is a personal decision, so please experiment to determine your preferences.

Use water between 180 and 190 degrees F, or allow boiling water to stand for 2 minutes. Steep your Goji Green Tea in as little as 1 minute, but not more than 4 minutes. For each of the following steeps, use water of the same temperature and double the steep time.

Goji Green Tea can be steeped at least 3 times and, depending on the steep times, as many as 5 times. Also, consider blending the first steep with the following steeps to balance the tea; if you do not want to drink all the tea, store it in the fridge for wonderful iced tea.

Store in a dry place.
