Mote Beach Tea
Mote Beach Tea is a combination of fruits and herbs, including coconut, apple, hibiscus, rosehips, and pineapple. This herbal tea contains no sugar and is naturally caffeine-free.
Created to honor the marine research conducted at Mote Marine Laboratory. This beach-inspired loose-leaf herbal tea is a tisane and contains no true tea, Camellia sinensis. High in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, in addition, this tea is wonderful hot as a calming bedtime drink or iced as a popsicle in the summer.
Available in distinctive blue bags that are re-sealable to maintain freshness. On the back of each package is an overview of Mote Marine Laboratory, and we have a blog post with even more details of this phenomenal fruit tea.
20 to 25 cups of tea can be made from 2 oz of loose leaf tea.
Brewing Instructions for Mote Beach Tea
Steep this tea multiple times. Loose-leaf teas have far more flavor than traditional tea bags due to their superior quality and freshness. Tea strength is a personal decision. Please experiment to determine your preferences.
Use boiling water and allow your tea to steep as little as 3 minutes or as much as 10 minutes. For each of the following steeps, use boiling water and double the steep time; if you do not want to drink all the tea, store it in the fridge for wonderful iced tea.
Store in a dry place.

It’s hard to choose one tea over the others because they’re all so good, but Mote Beach is definitely one of my favorites. The flavor is a perfect combination of berry fruitiness and coconut. It has a lovely tropical flavor. I find plain liquid Stevia sweetens this tea better than honey or maple syrup since it allows the fruit’s flavors to come through better. Being caffeine free, I can have it in the evening and not worry about it affecting my sleep.
Whomever is crafting these flavors is a master at flavor combining. I have found one other company that had ONE tea of their many blends comparable in flavor to these teas. Local Tea has a fantastic and varied line of teas. I’m not a coffee drinker so I can’t comment on their coffees, but I suspect they are superb as well.

I have been drinking Mote Beach tea for years. In my estimation it does not need to be sweetened. I love it best as iced tea! It is the only tea I have ever had with coconut in it!

This is my all time favorite summer tea, as aan iced tea, especially hot summer nights. Nothing is better. The sweetness is perfect, nothing needs to be added. It is a truly masterful combination! The whole Sarasota collection is fantastic. So much more flavorful and thirst quenching than sugary tea!
